The latest shooter from DICE faced a number of issues upon its initial release, but the studio has been listening to feedback, making improvements, and constantly working on new seasons.
Battlefield 2042 became one of three games, alongside Code Vein and Minecraft Dungeons, that PlayStation Plus subscribers could get in March. The addition of the shooter to the service’s catalog made it a hit, as the PlayStation community rushed to play it – with a 578% increase in popularity among PS5 and PS4 players.
As a result, Battlefield 2042 became the 5th most popular game on PlayStation servers last week (compared to 31st place), overtaking GTA 5, Overwatch 2, Rocket League, Destiny 2, and Apex Legends.
To remind, last week Sony presented a list of games that users of more expensive versions of PS Plus will soon be able to enjoy, including Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection, Tchia, and Ghostwire Tokyo.
