CD Projekt Red has announced plans to abandon the development of its spin-off game, The Witcher: Sirius, previously being worked on by The Molasses Flood, developers of The Flame and the Flood. Eurogamer reached out to CD Projekt for more information on the decision.
In a conversation with Eurogamer, a CD Projekt representative stated that the company is working to ensure that the project “better fits the CD Projekt Group’s strategy”.
“At this time, we are not providing information on the project’s evaluation or potential future framework,”
he added. Eurogamer journalists speculate that the development of Sirius may be completely restarted, without the involvement of The Molasses Flood.
