Cloud Imperium Games, the developers behind Star Citizen, have released a new patch to address issues that arose from the game’s latest update, Alpha 3.18. The 3.18.1 patch is now available for download to all contributors.
Fixes for Alpha 3.18
Alpha 3.18 of Star Citizen was initially riddled with bugs, and developers have been working hard to fix them. The 3.18.1 patch is the first result of their efforts, aimed at addressing the problems that occurred during the game’s launch.
Free Fly event from April 13 to 20
In addition to the new patch, the creators of Star Citizen have announced a Free Fly Event that will begin on April 13 and run until April 20. During this time, players will have the opportunity to try out the latest update without having to purchase it.
Testing the game
The development team behind Star Citizen is planning to test the game and its new features more thoroughly to collect more data that will help them identify and address issues more quickly. They are also aiming to ensure that the game can handle peak loads, including the upcoming Invictus Launch Week Free Fly event, scheduled for late May.
